About the study place

University College Syddanmark is the largest educational institution in South Jutland and has four campuses in Esbjerg, Haderslev, Kolding and Aabenraa. The university college focuses on research and development in the fields of Educational Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences and Communication Sciences. These academic fields are distributed across the four campuses.

Campus Esbjerg offers a broad specter of study programmes. Esbjerg is Denmark's youngest city and was founded in 1868. This is today the fifth largest city in Denmark, and much has happened in a few years. The city has good shopping opportunities, parks and hiking opportunities and is known for the landmark "Man Meets The Sea" which is a gigantic sculpture. Although this is a young city, it has everything a big city should offer. Campus Esbjerg has its own swimming pool, climbing wall and outdoor sports facilities. At the meeting place "Huset" you can get to know other students and concerts and other events are held there. Not far from Esbjerg you will find the city of Odense. This is one of the biggest cities in Denmark, so if you need a change of environment one day, you should definitely visit the city.

The university creates a framework for students who are ambitious and who wants to make a difference in both society and for others. At the university college theory and practice go hand in hand. The university college provides its students with tools, so that you as a student will have the opportunity to realize your talents, dreams and ambitions.
