About the study place

The Instituto Politécnico de Viseu was founded in 1979 and is located in the Viseu region of Portugal. This is the first public higher education institution in the district, and it has played an important part in the development of the community in the region. Through teaching and research activity, they have been a driving force for technological, scientific, cultural and economic development. The university colleges offers many exciting subjects and education in the fields of agriculture, teacher education, health sciences, technology, and management. 

The old town of Viseu is located in the middle of Portugal. This is a beautiful city with several granite monuments and cozy streets that stretch up to the magnificent cathedral of the city. Take a walk around the white houses with small winding streets around the cathedral or visit the Fontelo park which is the largest green area in the city. Here you can go jogging, swimming, play tennis or skate. If you like shopping, you can take the bus and visit the large center Palácio do Gelo which is located just outside the city center. Viseu has a good and welcoming atmosphere, several historic buildings with unique and elegant interiors and several museums. Hop on a bus and explore hidden gems in this beautiful city. 

The university college collaborates with the local community and the business community, and they are concerned with preparing their students for the working life. Here you will experience a fantastic study time.
