Birmingham City University is a university based in the centre of the city of Birmingham, England. The university has three main campuses that serves four faculties that offers a wide range of courses in art and design, IT, engineering, healthcare, education, English, the preforming arts, social sciences and technology.

The city is located in the West Midlands-region in the middle of England. Birmingham saw an exponential growth during the industrial revolution and was a center for science, technology and economic development. These innovations helped lay the foundations for the modern industrial society. Today Birmingham has become a center for art and culture.
