About the study place

Hochschule Darmstadt, also known as h_da, is a university of applied sciences located in the German city of Darmstadt. The school has five locations around the city, the most prominent being the high tower on the main campus near Darmstadt Central Station. In addition, there is a campus in the idyllic town of Dieburg, 20 minutes away by car. Here you can study architecture, chemistry, engineering, IT, design, media, economics, social studies, special education and mechatronics.

Darmstadt is part of the state of Hesse in Germany and is located in the southern part of the Rhine-Main area. The city of Frankfurt is approximately 30 km away and is accessible by train. Darmstadt has received the official title "Wissenschadtsstadt" or "City of Science". This is because the city has become an important center for scientific institutions, universities and high-tech companies. The architecture of the city reflects Darmstadt's past history as the capital of both the Grand Duchy of Hesse and the state of Hesse. The region is known for its mild climate which allows winegrowing on a large scale.

H_da is a school with a clear scientific profile. The school is part of the IT cluster Rhine-Main-Neckar, also known as the "Silicon Valley of Germany". It is also part of ATHENE, the largest research institute for IT security in Europe. Its excellent reputation is the result of a scientifically sound approach to higher education.
