Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin is a university of applied science. The school has over 70 different programmes of study in the areas of engineering, computer science, business and design. HTW Berlin offers subjects that range from classical disciplines within engineering and business administration, to new and innovative programmes. It is the largest university of applied sciences in Berlin and has two campuses located in the eastern part of the city.

The city, with 4.5 million inhabitants, is home to 138 museums, more than 400 art galleries, and has three sites on the World Heritage List. In addition, the city is known for its festivals, architecture, nightlife and a high quality of living.
