Mandatory Tuberculosis Chest X-ray

Students from a country with high occurrence of tuberculosis are required to take a chest x-ray if you are going to stay more than three months. It is mandatory for all foreign students to check if you need to undergo this testing.
  • Who needs to get tested?

    You will find a list of countries with high occurrence of tuberculosis (fhi.no) on the website of the Norwegian Institute of Public Health. If you come from one of these countries, you must get tested.

  • Where can I find out more about the test?

    Reference is made to the Norwegian Institute of Public Health's routine screening for tuberculosis (fhi.no)

  • Testing for students living in Oslo

    The x-ray is done at Ullevål Hospital, Division of Lung Diseases. Please make an appointment by calling the hospital.

    Important notice : The x-ray is free, but you must cancel no later than 24 hours in advance if you cannot make your appointment. If you do not cancel your appointed time, you will receive a bill.

    Your appointment will be with Migrasjonshelseteamet at Lillestrøm Helsestasjon at Romerike Helsebygg.
