New Function in the Research Database

The Research Database now allows for information retrieval from SIKT - Notification Form for personal data.

The Research Database is an internal database where metadata about research is registered to make it searchable and available to other employees at OsloMet. Registering projects in the database is also significant for internal monitoring of personal data processing in research, according to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

A new function has now been launched in the Research Database. You can directly retrieve information from the SIKT – Notification Form for personal data (sikt.no), and use this as a basis for registering projects. When registering new projects in the Research Database, you can now extract and add information from SIKT, such as: title, project summary, duration, type of project, field of study, data classification, duration, and status of the assessment from SIKT.

Further functionality is being developed, and the ability to load additional information from SIKT will be launched in a later update.

The project information is previewed before proceeding with the registration. This functionality makes it easier for researchers and PhD candidates to register projects in the FDB, while simultaneously ensuring the information entered is accurate and updated.
