OsloMet condemns hatred and extremism
OsloMet has support services for students who need to talk to someone after the murder of Tamima Nibras Juhar.
– We are affected by the tragic incident in which Tamima Nibras Juhar was killed while she was doing important work for children and young people in our society, says rector at OsloMet Christen Krogh.
– Our thoughts go out to her family, friends, fellow students and employees at MF vitenskapelig høyskole where she was a student, says Krogh.
– OsloMet stands for the values of respect, security and equality, and we distance ourselves from hatred and extremism in all forms, he says.
Support services
OsloMet offers several support services, including conversations with Univeristy Chaplain Siri M. Magnusen.
– It is natural that students may experience unrest as a result of this incident, and need someone to talk to, says Magnusen.
– I have an open conversation offer regardless of background, and I am happy to have a chat. I am bound by confidentiality and I have time. Please contact studentprest@oslomet.no, she says.
